The Power of Routine – Daily Message of Support
Military life teaches structure for a reason: routine builds resilience.
After service, many veterans discover that losing structure can make life feel more difficult than expected.
Motivation can drop.
Focus can slip.
Days can start to blur together.
That doesn’t mean you’re failing.
It means you may need a new rhythm.
A strong day doesn’t have to be complicated.
Sometimes it starts with:
• Getting up on time
• Making your bed
• Taking a walk
• Drinking water
• Checking in with someone
• Completing one task with purpose
Progress is often built through consistency—not intensity.
Today’s challenge: Pick three simple things to complete today and do them with intention.
Small wins matter.
Routine matters.
Forward movement matters.
Taylor Veteran Services encourages every veteran and family to build habits that support peace, strength, and stability.
Discipline still works—on and off the battlefield.

🛰️ FRIDAY FUN FACT: DID YOU KNOW? 🛰️
Happy Friday from Taylor Veteran Services! As we wrap up the week, let’s look up to our newest branch of the military: the United States Space Force.
The Fact:
While the Space Force was officially established in 2019, its mission grew out of the Air Force Space Command, which started back in 1982.
Why it matters to YOU today:
The Guardians of the Space Force operate and protect the GPS constellation. Every time you use your phone to find a restaurant, check the weather, or even swipe your credit card, you’re using technology maintained by our military!
---
🦅 WEEKEND ENCOURAGEMENT
The Space Force reminds us that some of the most vital work is often the least visible.
*Your Impact is Real: Like a satellite orbiting 12,000 miles above, the work you do for your family and community might go unseen—but it is **essential** to the mission.
*Recalibrate Your Orbit: Satellites need "station-keeping" to stay on track. If you’ve had a heavy week, take this weekend to pause, breathe, and get back on course.
*Maintain the High Ground: You have a unique perspective because of your service. Use that "satellite view" to stay calm and lead when things feel chaotic on the ground.
---
YOUR MISSION: This weekend, every time you pull up a map on your phone, remember that you are part of a legacy of service that reaches from the earth to the stars.
Semper Supra! (Always Above) 🌌

The Battle Shouldn’t Continue at Home.
There is a deep resonance in the truth we often overlook: we ask our brave men and women to face unimaginable challenges, trusting that their sacrifice will be honored when they return.
Yet, too often, our veterans come home only to face a different kind of frontline- paperwork, endless hoops, and a system that feels designed to question their worthiness.
At Taylor Veteran Services, we believe this is fundamentally backwards. To meet their sacrifice with bureaucracy diminishes everything they have endured. It shouldn’t be another battle to fight on their own soil.
Our Commitment:
* A Welcoming Embrace: You shouldn’t have to prove your worth after you’ve already given your all.
* A Clear Path: We work to remove the "hoops" and streamline the journey to healing and rebuilding.
* Honoring the Promise: Your courage earned you a commitment from this country—we are here to make sure it’s kept.
Their courage earned them a promise. We’re here to make sure that promise is never forgotten or put into question.

Service is the only proof required. We’re here to cut through the red tape and ensure our heroes get the care, respect, and support they’ve already earned.

Service Doesn’t Expire
One of the greatest misconceptions about military service is that it ends when the uniform comes off.
The truth is: service often continues for a lifetime.
Veterans continue to serve through leadership, mentorship, volunteer work, faith communities, emergency response, coaching, parenting, and simply by being examples of perseverance and discipline.
The mission may change—but the values remain.
Duty. Honor. Courage. Commitment. Integrity. Sacrifice.
If you’ve ever wondered whether your service still counts because your active-duty years are behind you, hear this clearly:
It still counts.
And what you bring to your community today still matters deeply.
Your experience, your voice, and your resilience are needed.
Today’s challenge: Find one way to serve today—even in a small way. Encourage someone. Help a neighbor. Support another veteran. Lead by example.
Taylor Veteran Services believes your purpose did not end when your military chapter changed.
You still have a mission.
#TaylorVeteranServices #Family #Military #Community #Faith
Brotherhood and Sisterhood
One of the strongest bonds in the world is the one forged through service.
Military life teaches something many people never fully experience: the meaning of brotherhood and sisterhood. Veterans know what it means to rely on one another, protect one another, and carry one another through difficult days.
That bond doesn’t end when the uniform comes off.
Even after service, that connection still matters. The mission may look different now, but the need for community remains the same. No veteran was ever meant to carry every burden alone.
Families understand this too. Spouses, children, parents, and caregivers often serve in quiet ways that the world doesn’t always see. Their support is part of the mission—and always has been.
If you’ve been feeling disconnected lately, this is your reminder:
You are still part of something bigger than yourself.
Today’s encouragement: Don’t isolate. Reach back into your circle. Someone out there probably needs to hear from you just as much as you need to hear from them.
Today’s challenge: Call or message one person you served with—or one military family you haven’t checked on in a while.
At Taylor Veteran Services, we believe connection saves lives, restores hope, and strengthens purpose.
No one fights alone. Not then. Not now.
#TaylorVeteranServices #VeteranSupport #Military #Community #Faith
Good Day from Taylor Veteran Services.
Today, we pause to honor the strength, sacrifice, and resilience of our veterans and military families. Your service—whether in uniform or on the home front—has shaped the story of our nation in ways that deserve lasting respect and gratitude.
Veterans have always stood at the center of defining moments in American life—from defending freedom overseas to serving communities here at home. Their legacy is not only found in military history, but in the lives they continue to impact every day.
Across America today, veterans continue to lead in business, public service, emergency response, mentorship, and community support. Military families remain one of the strongest support systems in our nation, carrying burdens with courage, patience, and love.
If today feels heavy, remember this:
• Your service still matters.
• Your story still matters.
• Your family’s sacrifice still matters.
• And your next chapter still has purpose.
Strength is not always loud. Sometimes it looks like getting out of bed, making one hard phone call, checking on a buddy, or asking for help when you need it. That counts too.
Today’s challenge: Reach out to one fellow veteran, family member, or friend today. A simple “How are you doing?” can change someone’s day—and sometimes, their life.
From all of us at Taylor Veteran Services: thank you for your service, your sacrifice, and your continued example of perseverance.
Stay strong. Stay connected. Stay mission-focused.
#TaylorVeteranServices #VeteranSupport #Military #Community #Faith
The Home Front Matters Too
Today we want to recognize a group that often carries tremendous weight with quiet strength: military families.
Behind every service member is often a spouse holding the household together, children learning resilience early, parents worrying in silence, and loved ones sacrificing time, comfort, and peace of mind.
Military families serve too.
They endure deployments, missed birthdays, uncertainty, transitions, and the emotional toll of military life. Their support is often unseen—but never unimportant.
To every military spouse, parent, child, and caregiver:
Your strength matters.
Your sacrifice matters.
Your role matters.
If you’re a veteran reading this, today is a good day to say thank you to someone who stood beside you through your service—or through the years after.
Today’s challenge: Tell one family member, “I appreciate what you carried for me.”
A little acknowledgment can go a long way toward healing, reconnecting, and honoring shared sacrifice.
Taylor Veteran Services proudly supports not just veterans—but the families who serve alongside them every step of the way.
Strong families build strong veterans.

TVS Friday Fun Fact ⚓
It's Friday Fun Fact time, and this week we're diving into the history of the United States Marine Corps! 🇺🇸
Did you know that the U.S. Marine Corps was founded in Philadelphia, PA, on November 10, 1775, in a watering hole called Tun Tavern? That’s right – a place for social gathering and camaraderie was where the very first Marines were recruited! This incredible story of a small beginning growing into a powerful force for good reminds us of the power of faith and belief.
Think about it: even the most robust and significant things can start in the most unassuming of places. It's a testament to the fact that with dedication, courage, and a strong sense of purpose, great things can be achieved. And in that spirit, we want to honor all our brave Marines, both past and present, for their commitment and sacrifice.
This Friday, as we celebrate this unique piece of Marine history, let us also reflect on the power of faith to move mountains and the significance of community in achieving our most ambitious goals. Just as that small group of individuals at Tun Tavern grew to become a global symbol of strength, let us find our own inner strength and power through faith and purpose.
Happy Friday, everyone! May your weekend be filled with moments of reflection and the company of those you love. And to all our Marines: Semper Fidelis!

🏃🏾♂️ Where Are You Running? 🏃🏻♀️
In Proverbs, “running” isn’t just about speed—it’s about direction. As a disabled veteran managing a right knee limitation and nerve issues, my physical “run” looks a bit different. Winter is my season for rest and recovery, but as Spring arrives, I’m focused on building back the strength to exercise with my family.
It’s a reminder that even when we move slowly, our spiritual direction is what matters most.
📖 The Wisdom of the Run:
* The Danger: “Their feet run to evil...” (Prov 1:16). It’s easy to fast-track toward trouble when we lose our way.
* The Promise: “When you walk, your step will not be hampered; and if you run, you will not stumble.” (Prov 4:12).
✨ The Takeaway:
Walking in wisdom clears the “moral debris” from our path. Whether you’re recovering from an injury or sprinting toward a goal, wisdom provides:
✅ An Unobstructed Path
✅ Safety in Every Step
✅ Strength to Keep Going
This Spring, I’m building my strength and keeping my eyes on the right path. It doesn’t matter how fast you go, as long as you’re running toward what is good! 🙏🏾🤎☀️☮️

🌅 Wellness Wednesday: The Mission of Maintenance
In the service, we’re trained to "embrace the suck" and push through until the objective is secured. But in civilian life, many veterans find themselves stuck in a permanent "grind" mode, treating every daily task like a high-stakes deployment.
The Hard Truth: You can’t complete the mission if the equipment (that’s you) breaks down.
Today’s Tip: Tactical Rest & Play
True resilience isn't just about how hard you can work; it's about how effectively you can downshift. Balancing the "grind" with intentional "play" isn't a sign of weakness—it’s a maintenance requirement for your mental health.
* Schedule Your "Liberty": If you don't schedule time for hobbies, travel, or relaxation, your brain will stay in "mission mode" 24/7. Treat a sunset yoga session or a vacation just as seriously as a work deadline.
* Identify the "No-Fly Zone": Pick a time each evening where "work talk" and "mission planning" end. Use that time to reconnect with your family or yourself.
* The 70/30 Rule: Try to aim for a life where your "mission" takes up 70% of your energy, leaving 30% strictly for recovery and joy. That 30% is what prevents burnout and keeps your mind sharp for when things actually get tough.
Remember: Even the most elite units have a recovery cycle.
Your new mission is to find the balance between being a warrior and being human.

Friday Fun Fact from Taylor Veteran Services
Did You Know?
The concept of "VA Disability" is older than the United States itself!
In 1636—140 years before the Declaration of Independence—the Pilgrims of Plymouth Colony passed a law stating that any soldier wounded while defending the colony would be "maintained competently by the Colony for the life of such person." This established the foundational principle that a nation has a sacred duty to care for those who have borne the battle.
We are proud to continue that legacy every single day. Happy Friday!

Honoring Excellence: Brad Moore’s Journey to 100% 🎖️
We have a major milestone to celebrate at Taylor Veteran Services! Join us in congratulating Brad Moore—the 73rd veteran to reach a 100% disability rating through our program since August 2021.
Brad’s journey is a testament to the power of leadership. Bringing the discipline of his Army training and the precision of his IT career, Brad didn’t just focus on his own claim—he poured back into our mission.
A Partnership of Growth 📈
Brad’s unique background in both the nonprofit and business sectors was instrumental in our evolution. His insights encouraged us to scale Taylor Veteran Services, ensuring we could reach more of those who served.
Serving with Purpose 🙏
Brad’s approach reminds us of the heart behind our work. As it says in Luke 2:49:
"...wist ye not that I must be about my Father's business?"
Just as this scripture resonates with Brad’s commitment to his "particular ministry," it drives our mission to ensure every veteran receives the honor and compensation they earned.
Brad, thank you for your service, your mentorship, and for being a vital part of the TVS family!

The Right People Make Your Journey Stronger
Hey Family,
We weren’t created to do life alone. So, when life gets heavy, why is our first instinct to isolate and tackle it on our own? The lift is so much easier when we share the load.
And that’s where Community Groups come in. They are a safe place where you can connect with people on similar journeys and build with them as you grow in grace, wisdom, and favor.
They’re spaces where church becomes community — and relationships move beyond Sunday.

With more than 50 groups to choose from, you’ll find your place to:
*Build relationships that strengthen your faith.
*Discover shared interests and new perspectives.
*Grow alongside people who truly get you.

Fun Fact Friday from Taylor Veteran Services brings you a curious tidbit about the classic navy uniform!
The iconic blue color of the navy uniform, often referred to as "Navy Blue," has a practical and historical significance. The choice of this deep blue shade dates back to the 18th century when the British Royal Navy adopted it for its officers' uniforms.
The dark blue was selected because it was less likely to show dirt and wear, making it practical for sailors who spent long periods at sea. Additionally, blue is associated with the ocean, reinforcing the connection between naval forces and their maritime environment.
Over time, this color has become a symbol of naval tradition and pride, representing the strength and resilience of those who serve at sea.
So next time you see a navy uniform, remember the blend of functionality and heritage behind its distinctive hue!

🌿 Thursday Wellness: Honoring the Journey
At Taylor Veteran Services, we know that "wellness" isn’t a destination—it’s a daily practice. For our veteran community, transitioning from service to civilian life often means redefining what it looks like to take care of yourself.
This Thursday, we’re focusing on **The Power of the Pivot.** Whether it’s adjusting your morning routine or seeking out a new community, small shifts lead to big breakthroughs.
3 Ways to Reset Today
* Move for Your Mind: You don't need a rucksack or a drill sergeant. A 15-minute walk in nature can lower cortisol levels and clear the mental "fog."
* Reconnect with Your Tribe: Isolation is the enemy. Reach out to one battle buddy today—just a text or a quick call to check-in.
* Practice Tactical Breathing: It’s a tool you likely already know. Inhale for 4, hold for 7, exhale for 8. It’s the fastest way to signal to your nervous system that you are safe.
💡 Reflection of the Week
"Valor is a gift. Those having it never know for sure whether they have it until the test comes. But wellness is a choice we make every single morning."

Proverbs 24:16 states, “For the righteous falls seven times and rises again, but the wicked stumble in times of calamity” (NKJV/ESV).
It highlights that while righteous people face repeated struggles, setbacks, or failures, they persevere and get back up, whereas the wicked are destroyed by calamity.
Whether we’re walking, running, riding bikes, or roller skating – we choose to move our bodies and enjoy the sun and beautiful day in front of us. Lots of falls and a few bumps – but such is life. Keep getting back up or you never reach your destination.

🛡️ **Thursday Wellness Tip: The Power of the "Secure Message"** 🛡️
When it comes to your VA claim, if it isn't in writing, the VA often acts like it didn't happen. One of the best ways to support your wellness *and* your claim is by using the **Secure Messaging** feature in the VA Health app.
* **Establish a Paper Trail:** Use it to report new symptoms or flare-ups (like migraines, sleep issues, or anxiety) between appointments.
* **Be Direct:** Be honest with your Primary Care Provider about how your service-connected disabilities are affecting your daily life and your ability to work.
* **Consistency is Key:** These messages become part of your permanent medical record—a "Blue Button" report that can be the difference-maker for an increase or TDIU.
Taking 5 minutes to send a message today is an investment in your health and your future rating. 🇺🇸

It takes a different kind of courage to come all the way home.
In the service, courage was about facing the unknown. At home, courage is different.
It’s the courage to realize that while you’re physically sitting on the edge of the bed for a bedtime story, your mind is still "outside the wire." It’s the courage to admit that while you’re patching up a scraped knee, you feel a numbness you can’t quite explain.
The mission has changed. Your family doesn’t need a protector who is always on guard; they need a parent and a partner who is present in the moment. If life after service feels like you’re watching it through a window, it’s time to reach out. Asking for support isn’t a sign of a struggle—it’s the tactical choice to become the person your family deserves.
How to Reconnect:
Local Support: Reach out to us at Taylor Veteran Services. We understand the transition and can connect you with peers who have walked this path.
National Resources: Visit VA.gov to explore tools designed to help veterans navigate the "new normal" of civilian and family life.
Immediate Support: Dial 988 (Press 1) to speak with the Veterans Crisis Line anytime, 24/7.
You’ve already proven you’re brave. Now, have the courage to be present.

You carried the weight of the uniform. You don’t have to carry the weight of what happened alone.
To the veterans in our community who are living with the quiet burden of Military Sexual Trauma (MST) or undisclosed trauma: We see you, and we believe you.
For too long, many have walked this path in silence, feeling like they have to "tough it out" or hide the truth to protect their career, their family, or their reputation. But there is one thing you need to hear today, as many times as it takes to believe it:
It was not your fault.
What happened does not define your service, and it certainly does not define your worth. Healing begins when the silence ends—but only when you are ready. Whether it happened decades ago or just recently, Taylor Veteran Services is here to provide a safe, confidential bridge to the care you earned.
Where to Turn for Support:
Taylor Veteran Services: Reach out to us for a confidential conversation. We can help you navigate local specialized resources and peer support in a safe environment.
VA.gov (MST Support): Every VA medical center has an MST Coordinator to help you access free, sensitive healthcare for any condition related to your experience. You do not need a VA disability rating or a report from the time of the incident to get help.
Safe Helpline: For specialized, anonymous support specifically for the DoD community, call 877-995-5247.
You’ve spent your life looking out for others. It is okay—and it is brave—to finally look out for yourself.

🎖️ Your Service Earned These Benefits. Let’s Secure Them.
Transitioning home is a mission of its own, and ensuring you have the support you need shouldn’t be a secondary thought. At Taylor Veteran Services, we know the VA claims process can feel like a maze—but the path to success is built on three essential pillars.
🔐 To secure a service connection, you need the “Caluza Triangle”:
* 1. A Current Diagnosis: You must have a formal medical diagnosis for the condition you are claiming. Documentation is key—“buddy letters” help, but a doctor’s diagnosis is the foundation.
* 2. An In-Service Event: Proof that an injury, illness, or specific event occurred during your military service that caused or aggravated the condition.
* 3. The Medical Nexus: This is the bridge. It is a formal medical opinion (often a Nexus Letter) from a healthcare provider linking your current diagnosis directly to your time in service.
🔍 Why Treatment Matters
Regular treatment isn’t just about feeling better—it creates the paper trail the VA needs to see the severity and persistence of your condition. Don’t wait for things to get worse; document your health journey today.
You stood for us. Now, let us stand with you.

Matthew 19:6 is a key Bible verse about marriage, stating, "So they are no longer two, but one flesh. Therefore what God has joined together, let no one separate," emphasizing marriage as a lifelong, divine union where a husband and wife become one, a concept Jesus used to counter arguments about divorce.
Context of the Verse
Jesus' Teaching: This verse comes from Jesus' response to the Pharisees who were testing him by asking if it was lawful for a man to divorce his wife for any reason.
Creation Principle: Jesus refers back to the creation accounts in Genesis (Genesis 1:27, 2:24) to establish marriage as God's original design, not just a human custom.
One Flesh: The phrase "one flesh" signifies a profound spiritual and physical unity, making the couple inseparable in God's eyes.
Significance
Divine Institution: It presents marriage as a sacred, God-ordained institution, not a temporary contract.
Permanence: It serves as a strong admonition against divorce, highlighting its seriousness as an act against God's design.
Foundation for Christian Marriage: It's a foundational scripture for Christian understanding of marriage as a lifelong commitment.
Times may get tough and struggles will occur – but that’s where faith, patience, and careful instruction comes in.
Happy birthday, Mrs. Taylor. We Love You.

Proverbs 22:6 is a well-known Bible verse that encourages parents to guide their children in righteous ways, stating, “Train up a child in the way he should go; even when he is old he will not depart from it” (KJV). It emphasizes starting children early on a good path, often interpreted as religious or moral training, suggesting that these foundational habits will stick with them into adulthood, though some modern interpretations note it’s a general truth, not an absolute guarantee, in a fallen world.
Key Interpretations
Parental Responsibility: Parents should teach children God’s way, including consistent behavior and faith, as this is their primary role.
Foundational Guidance: The verse highlights the importance of early, consistent instruction and setting a good example, which builds character.
A General Principle: It’s seen as a general truth about human nature and habit formation, not a transactional promise, meaning children can still stray, but the training provides a strong foundation.
“The Way He Should Go”: This phrase often refers to God’s path or a righteous, wise direction for life, equipping children for a fulfilling future.

Hebrews 13:16 in the King James Version (KJV) reads: “But to do good and to communicate forget not: for with such sacrifices God is well pleased”.
This verse encourages believers to consistently practice kindness, generosity, and sharing resources (like food, money, or time) with others, viewing these acts as pleasing sacrifices to God, replacing the old system of animal sacrifices, and demonstrating their faith in action.
Key Meanings:
“Do good and to communicate”: This means actively seeking opportunities to help those in need and sharing what you have, a concept that included mutual support within the early church.
“Forget not”: It’s a call to make these actions a regular, intentional part of daily life, not an occasional gesture.
“Such sacrifices God is well pleased”: Acts of love and generosity are presented as the new sacrifices that honor God, reflecting Jesus’s own character and love.
In essence, the verse calls for a faith lived out through practical, compassionate actions, pleasing to God.
Grateful for Ms. Janice Hopes and the Bay City All-Sports Booster Club for allowing Taylor Veteran Services to sponsor gifts and pizza for Christmas. Grateful to be a blessing to others.

Matthew 5:12 is a verse from the Beatitudes where Jesus says, “Rejoice and be glad, because great is your reward in heaven, for in the same way they persecuted the prophets who were before you”.
The verse encourages followers to find joy in being persecuted, insulted, and falsely accused for righteousness’ sake, likening their situation to the ancient prophets who faced similar suffering for speaking God’s word.
Encouragement for believers: The verse offers a message of hope and a promise of a great reward in heaven for those who suffer for their faith.
Historical context: It connects the suffering of Jesus’s followers to the suffering of the prophets who came before them, such as Jeremiah and Zechariah, who were persecuted for speaking God’s truth.
Focus on inner character: It emphasizes that God blesses those with character and a right posture of the heart, rather than those concerned with their outward image.
Promise of a heavenly reward: The verse highlights that the ultimate reward for enduring persecution is not earthly but heavenly, a promise of a great reward awaiting them.
Grateful for the journey God has set me on. The kid who went from home to home, parents addicted to drugs, every section 8 apartment community in Bay City, TX, quite a few broken relationships, permanently disabled while serving in the military, arrested, and struggled with my own battles of addiction.
I’ve needed every bit of support that came my way. God has allowed me time to change my ways and give back. He gave me a Vision. I wrote it down, told those closest to me, and haven’t stopped being obedient since (Habbukuk 2:2).
Now the company He allowed me to create is one approximately 380,000+ accredited by the Better Business Bureau. Thanks to all who support in any way- it’s working- in Jesus’ name.
Don’t give up. Don’t listen to those who doubt you, your dreams, or your calling. It wasn’t a conference call- it was YOUR call. You are “fearfully and wonderfully made.” ~Psalm 139:14

Psalm 23:4 is a verse about trust and comfort during difficult times, using the metaphor of a shepherd caring for sheep. The “valley of the shadow of death” represents life’s darkest and most trying moments, such as illness, loss, or crisis. The core meaning is that even when facing hardship, one does not need to fear because God, the divine shepherd, is present and provides protection and guidance through his “rod” (defense) and “staff” (guidance).
Key components and interpretations:
“The valley of the shadow of death”: This phrase symbolizes life’s most challenging and frightening experiences, which can include a close brush with death, a major setback, or a period of great uncertainty.
“I will fear no evil”: This is a declaration of confidence and trust in God’s presence, rather than a claim that evil will be absent. It shows a choice to not let fear control one’s faith.
“For you are with me”: The assurance of God’s presence is the source of comfort and courage, as the shepherd is always with the sheep in the valley.
“Your rod and your staff, they comfort me”:
Rod: A short, heavy stick used by shepherds for defense against predators and to discipline straying sheep. This represents God’s protective power.
Staff: A long stick with a crook, used to guide sheep to safety and to rescue them if they fall. This represents God’s guidance and direction.
Grateful for @starbwysmind__ @ @bbdoesphotos and @kagemoya_57 providing this needed and necessary support.
